Scrabble Day

I learned today that the word "scrabble" means to grope frantically. I'm not exactly sure how that translates into the game, but I suppose it matters not. I played the board game recently with Sage, my teenaged mentee at Krause House. I was surprised to learn how good her vocabulary is, but I did let her win. Because let's face it... I play daily. My morning routine while I'm drinking my smoothie, is to have the Today show on while I work the crossword puzzle on my iPad, followed by the Jumble, and then on to Words with Friends. I always have at least one game going with cousin Mary (Helen) and Shirley. It's a great way to get my brain functioning and start the day!
