Pistachio Day

These pistachios have been in my pantry for a long time. These are the ones whose shells aren't open far enough to eat easily. Hence, the pliers. I ate six or seven before calling it quits and dumping the rest. Next time I think I'll bite the bullet and spring for the shelled nuts. At least I celebrated the day.

We had 14 for dinner tonight and went to a Japanese restaurant similar to Benihana's. It was so much fun and very tasty, so this place will move into our regular rotation. I can't say enough about this group of women that I hang out with. Friday nights (or should I say evenings because we're always home by 6:30) are always a blast. Love them all!
